Randy E. Bradley, President and Chief Architect
Mr. Bradley is a nationally known network directory integrated software developer for Fortune 500 companies, and founded Namescape in 2003, capitalizing on his expertise in enterprise directory services.
He currently serves as Namescape’s president and chief architect, overseeing all product research and development, and building powerful management and administrative tools for Active Directory that solve everyday business problems and enhance AD functionality.
With more than 27 years of practical hardware and software experience, Bradley’s passion is to provide low-cost, high-value software solutions for organizations and entities that depend on Microsoft’s Active Directory technologies to achieve success.
He co-founded NetPro Computing in 1991 with Joanne Carthey, a company initially dedicated to building advanced software to manage enterprise directories, and that evolved as a leading provider of directory management tools. During the course of his tenure, he served in multiple executive management roles, including CEO, CTO and Chairman, and helped the company grow to more than $12 million in revenue and more than 100 employees under his guidance and vision.
Prior to NetPro, Bradley worked at Compaq, where he led the development team that created a purchase order processing software product that Compaq used for more than 10 years.
Bradley earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in electrical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California.
Joanne Carthey, Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Carthey has an established track record of entrepreneurial success and a thriving career in the technology industry, and is currently Namescape’s CEO. She previously served as the company’s chief operating officer.
Carthey co-founded NetPro Computing with Randy Bradley in 1991, and served as president and CEO from 1992 to 2001, then as chairwoman of the board until 2004.
Under her leadership, NetPro experienced 100 percent year over year growth for four out of its first five years, and subsequently raised $4.5 million in venture capital. Both Carthey and NetPro won numerous industry honors and awards over the years for technical excellence and innovative management.
In 1999, she was named the Arizona SBA Entrepreneur of the Year, and was then selected as the runner-up in the SBA’s National Small Business Person of the Year.
She began her career by co-founding an equipment rental business in Arizona that continues to succeed 42 years later. In addition to her extensive entrepreneurial success, Carthey's background includes 17 years of management experience in Fortune 500 companies, such as Motorola, American Express and ARAMCO Saudi Arabia and Houston.
Her alma mater is the Principia College.
Michael Dodson, Director of Engineering
As Namescape’s director of engineering, Mr. Dodson is a veteran software engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the design and development of commercial software solutions.
Prior to joining Namescape in 2006, Dodson was the vice president of engineering at NetPro Computing, a leading provider of industry recognized solutions for directory health, availability and security.
Dodson’s career includes more than 20 years experience with network software and client/server technologies and more than 15 years of management experience, including high-level leadership positions at Artisoft, Inc. and Landmark Systems Corporation.
Over the years, Dodson’s vast responsibilities and product involvement has included designing, implementing and managing a wide variety of software applications, including: line-of-business applications; peer-peer network operating systems; mainframe performance software; network management software; email server and client; and “day one” release of multi-language support.
He has also contributed to the success of integrating acquired software technologies and companies, and has a proven track record in developing new software products to the market in a timely manner.
Dodson graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in management information systems from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
Evan Buchanan, Vice President of Sales
Mr. Buchanan is a proven strategic thinker and entrepreneurial leader known for creating exceptional and empowered sales teams, and is currently the vice president of sales at Namescape.
A seasoned WorldCom vice president of sales and a successful business owner himself, Buchanan utilizes best-in-class business practices.
He has managed annual revenue plans as high as $480 million, consistently exceeding revenue projections throughout his career, and leading a 13 state sales region for MCI Worldcom with the responsibility of 390 staff.
Buchanan’s 17 years of professional experience at WorldCom also included his position as vice president of operations, overseeing customer service and sales, billing, and service implementation over a five-year period.
Throughout his career, he has engaged in multiple merger and acquisition activities, including entrepreneurial ventures. In addition, Buchanan has won numerous achievement awards, and has been a recognized leader in early adoption and implementation of leading-edge solutions for his clients.
He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in business from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
Kimberly A. Thompson, Controller
Ms. Thompson, Namescape’s controller and financial advisor to the executive management team, has an established reputation as an exemplary financial and accounting professional, and is known for her ability to effectively manage and solve complex accounting and business issues.
With 12 years of management experience, her multi-dimensional background includes positions at Ambrion, Two Degrees and Ernst & Young, LLP (one of the “Big Four”), where she continuously expanded her technical and business expertise while successfully managing daily operations.
Thompson’s client base consisted primarily of small-to-medium-sized firms in the manufacturing and high-tech industries, with her professional experience including complex financial analysis, statement preparation and review; detailed cash flow analysis and debt management; designing key financial metrics to evaluate performance, distinguish trends and identify profitability; client audits; and developing and nurturing successful client relationships.
In addition to her accounting and financial expertise, she has made numerous successful contributions to marketing and sales, human resources, project management, promotions, client service, staffing, and recruitment.
Thompson graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accountancy. She is now a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Heidi Pullen, Director of Marketing
Ms. Pullen is a respected professional in her field, with 15+ years experience in the software industry, specializing in marketing communications, technical writing and project management. She currently serves as Namescape’s director of marketing.
Pullen's professional background in management began with a private real estate developer in Los Angeles, overseeing the operations of several premier high-rise residential and commercial properties. Utilizing her vast project management experience, she transitioned to the software industry, where she has held management and technical positions at NetPro, Sequencia and Quest Software.
Her areas of expertise include extensive corporate communications and brand development, developing and writing technical documentation, and company website design and content writing.
Pullen attended Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and continues to pursue her education through industry-specific trainings and conferences in marketing, communications and IT.
